Greetings Travellers,

It’s been quite some time since my last post, so I’d first like to apologize for our comms being down; we’ve been hard at work trying to engineer a playable alpha which will hopefully be released in the near future.

As the rest of the team works on their respective projects, I’m trying to create an immersive terrain in Unity. With no previous knowledge of the program and more recently running into scaling then rendering issues (but with the help of numerous tutorials), I feel I’m closer to having a workable terrain than I’ve been in the past few months. Between Blender, Unity, and GIMP, the learning curve has been steep.

The team’s weekdays are spent at jobs that have nothing to do with creating an MMORPG. We spend our free time attempting to create the necessary mechanics to convey our idea, so the process continues to be (forever will be) a passion project. We aren’t experts, but once the alpha is released and we receive your much appreciated (and crucial) input and feedback, we can work toward the launch of our KickStarter. Once funded, La Grange Game Studios will transition to hiring passionate professionals capable of creating the most immersive MMORPG to date. Right now, though, we’re just five guys working towards a vision.

Since Traveller was before the time of gaming consoles I’ve never had the pleasure of playing. However, the wildly original and unique concept instantly hooked me. That concept, which will some day be combined with cutting-edge graphics and gameplay, has me excited for the future; I envision Traveller MMORPG as all the games I’ve ever wanted or needed to play.

The possibilities of this game are endless and the scope of the project massive, but with your continued support, we will succeed.
